About the Lab
Professor Park Hoonki's research lab specializes in biomedical engineering and health informatics, focusing on wearable physiological monitoring systems, motion artifact reduction in photoplethysmography (PPG), and the development of machine learning models for rapid, accurate triage in emergency settings. The lab integrates multi-sensor PPG technology with advanced signal processing techniques such as independent component analysis (ICA) and singular value decomposition to enhance the reliability of vital sign measurements. Traditionally, sarcopenia has defined as amount of absolute muscle mass adjusted by height in the elderly people. We administered both the rapid antigen test and real-time reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test to 2154 patients in order to assess the diagnostic value of the rapid antigen test during Korean pandemics of H1N1 2009. The overall sensitivity was 70.0%, specificity was 97.5%, positive predictive value was 97.4%, and negative predictive value was 71.2%. The sensitivity fell and the negative predictive value decreased as the RT-PCR positive rate increased.
Purpose: During the high-stake examinations such as OSCE (Objective structured clinical examination) or CPX (clinical performance exam), test security is generally accepted as a major concern for test validity.
