About the Lab
Professor Sang-jun Shin's research lab focuses on translational oncology and molecular oncology, with a primary emphasis on understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying colorectal and mucosal melanoma progression. The lab investigates biomarkers such as microsatellite instability (MSI), KLF4, E-cadherin, and uPA to improve prognostic prediction and treatment strategies. It also explores innovative therapeutic approaches, including radiotherapy combined with immune checkpoint inhibitors, particularly in aggressive and rare cancers.
