공유가치창출은 기업이 가진 핵심역량을 바탕으로 사회문제를 해결하고, 장기적인 관점에서 경제적 가치와 사회적 가치를 창출하는 것을 의미한다. 경쟁이 치열하고 심화된 외식산업에서 기업이 경쟁우위를 바탕으로, 사회와 함께 장기적으로 발전할 수 있도록 공유가치창출에 대한 올바른 이해를 하는 것은 무엇보다 중요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 외식기업의 공유가치창출 활동과 기업이미지, 기업신뢰도, 소비자태도, 구매의도간의 관계에 대하여 실증분석을 통하여 검증하였다. 이를 위해 식품외식기업 소비자를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 최종 355부를 유효 표본으로 가설검증을 하였다. 분석 결과, 공유가치창출 활동이 기업이미지에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 기업이미지가 기업신뢰도와 소비자태도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 기업신뢰도와 소비자태도가 구매의도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 바탕으로 몇 가지 마케팅적 시사점을 제시하였다.
