About the Lab
Professor Seongyun Lim's research lab focuses on critical care medicine and metabolic disorders, with a strong emphasis on organ system interactions—particularly cardiorenal and respiratory-renal syndromes—among critically ill patients. The lab investigates clinical risk factors, such as serum bicarbonate levels, malnutrition, and body composition, in relation to acute kidney injury, pulmonary nontuberculous mycobacterial disease, and complications like new-onset atrial fibrillation.
