About the Lab
Professor Seung-ki Kim's research lab focuses on translational neuroscience and precision medicine, with a strong emphasis on neurological and neuromuscular disorders such as epilepsy, cerebral palsy, and breast cancer. The lab investigates advanced neuroimaging techniques, including PET tracers like 11C-methionine for improved epilepsy diagnosis, and explores non-invasive brain stimulation therapies such as rTMS for tinnitus. It also examines molecular mechanisms of treatment resistance in hormone receptor-positive breast cancer, particularly focusing on CDK4/6 inhibitor resistance and cancer stem cell markers. Additionally, the lab evaluates rehabilitative technologies, including wearable exoskeletons and botulinum toxin interventions, to enhance motor function in pediatric neurological conditions.

15Although (18)F-FDG plays a major role in the preoperative work-up of epilepsy surgery patients, it appears from this study that (18)F-FDG does not contribute to the differential diagnosis and that another tracer such as (11)C-methinine is required. We share our experience on the implementation of a multidisciplinary aerodigestive program comprising an aerodigestive team (ADT) so as to evaluate its feasibility. We performed a retrospective chart review of the patients discussed at the monthly ADT meetings and analyzed the data. A total of 98 children were referred to the ADT during the study period. 본 연구는 장기하상변동 모의를 이용하여 댐 하류 하천에서의 하상변동이 어류 물리서식처에 미치는 영향에 대하여연구하였다. 이를 위하여 흐름모형은 준정류 모형을 이용하였으며, 서식처 모형은 서식처 적합도 지수 (HSI) 모형을 이용하였다. 장기하상변동 모의를 위하여 Exner 방정식을 이용하였으며 하상재료 입도분포의 변화를 고려하였다. 내성천 영주댐 하류에서모의결과 침식과 장갑화가 진행되었으며 이에 따라 피라미의 물리서식처가 변하게 되었다. 지형과 하상재료의 변화가 어류 물리서식처에 영향을 끼치는 것을 확인할 수 있다.
