About the Lab

Professor Seung Yeon Yoo's research lab specializes in biomedical signal processing and intelligent wireless communication systems. The lab focuses on developing advanced non-invasive methods for assessing systemic circulation using pulse wave analysis, particularly in individuals with normal blood pressure who remain at risk for cardiovascular events. Additionally, the lab pioneers adaptive modulation techniques in MIMO-OFDM wireless systems, leveraging ARQ feedback for real-time transmission rate optimization without dedicated feedback channels. These interdisciplinary efforts bridge biomedical engineering and telecommunications to enhance health monitoring and wireless network efficiency.

Korean Journal of AcupunctureOA

Objectives : Recently, people who have normal brachial blood pressure(BP) are being threatened by high-risk disease such as stroke. The aim of this study is to suggest that new method to assess systemic circulation. It can be performed by analyzing optimal blood pulse wave on 3 sites belonging to subjects that have normal BP. Methods : We respectively extracted main peaks(h1) of optimal blood pulse wave on left/right temporal artery(LR1=h1), radial artery(LR2=h1) and dorsalis pedis artery(LR3=h1

본 논문에서는 IEEE 802.11a OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) 기반의 MIMO(Multiple Input Multiple Output) 시스템에서 별도의 피드백 채널 없이 ARQ(Automatic Repeat Request) 신호를 이용한 적응변조 기법을 제안한다.
