Since the first approval of a biosimilar in 2015, there are about 26 biosimilar products approved in the US by 2019, and for the EU, which has a long history of approval of biosimilar products with its first approval in 2006, about 60 biosimilars have been approved for 16 reference products by EMA. In the development of those biosimilar products, one of the key objectives is to show no clinically meaningful differences between the biosimilar product under development and the reference product in
Uterine artery embolization for the treatment of uterine leiomyomas is gaining acceptance as an effective alternative to surgical treatment in preserving uterus and reducing symptoms. Vaginal expulsion of leiomyomas after UAE is uncommon, and has been regarded as a side effect of the procedure, as well as a natural phenomenon of treatment response. A-28-year-old unmarried woman who has been suffered from menorrhagia underwent UAE. MRI revealed the remnant leiomyomas were reduced in size and volu
Background: Inflammation is an important underlying mechanism in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis, and an elevated resting heart rate underlies the process of atherosclerotic plaque formation. We hypothesized an associa-tion between resting heart rate and subclinical inflammation. Methods: Resting heart rate was recorded at baseline in the KoGES-ARIRANG (Korean Genome and Epidemiology Study on Atherosclerosis Risk of Rural Areas in the Korean General Population) cohort study, and was then divi
