About the Lab
Professor Sokjun Yoon's research lab specializes in population health and health economics, focusing on the burden of disease, health disparities, and the socioeconomic determinants of health. The lab conducts large-scale epidemiological studies using national health data to assess disability-adjusted life years (DALYs), disease prevalence, and economic impacts of major health conditions such as cardiovascular disease, cancer, and infectious diseases. 15Both work-related accident and fatal accident rates were found to be significantly reduced by implementing OHSMS in this study. The differences of OHSMS awareness between site general managers and OHS managers were identified through a survey. The effect of these differences on safety and other benefits warrants further research with proper data collection.
