About the Lab

Professor Soo-Il Kim's research lab focuses on cardiovascular risk factors and their modulation in aging and metabolic diseases, with a particular emphasis on arterial stiffness, blood pressure variability, and left ventricular remodeling in hypertensive and rheumatoid arthritis patients. After menopause, women have not only higher total body fat percentage but also its different distribution, which independently correlates with cardiovascular disease risk factors.
