About the Lab
Professor Su-Woong Jeong's research lab focuses on the pathophysiology of kidney diseases, with a particular emphasis on diabetic kidney disease, post-transplant complications, and systemic autoimmune disorders affecting the kidneys. The lab investigates molecular mechanisms underlying kidney fibrosis, viral reactivation (such as BK virus), and immune-mediated kidney injury, integrating clinical data with experimental models to identify novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets. Their work spans translational research from bench to bedside, aiming to improve outcomes in chronic kidney disease and transplantation.
