About the Lab

Professor Sun Min Lim's research lab focuses on identifying and targeting novel molecular drivers in aggressive cancers, with a strong emphasis on rare genetic alterations such as ROS1 and EGFR C797S mutations in non-small cell lung cancer. The lab investigates next-generation tyrosine kinase inhibitors, including BBT-176, to overcome resistance mechanisms and improve outcomes in treatment-experienced patients. Additionally, the lab explores biomarkers for early detection of metastasis—particularly bone metastasis in gastric cancer—and investigates the role of receptor tyrosine kinases like AXL in tumor progression and therapy resistance. The research integrates preclinical models, patient-derived systems, and translational clinical data to accelerate the development of precision oncology strategies.
