About the Lab

Professor Sungho Jeong's research lab focuses on advancing wound healing therapies, particularly for diabetic foot ulcers, through innovative biological and biomaterial-based approaches. The lab investigates the roles of growth factors, stem cells (such as stromal vascular fraction cells), and natural compounds like Panax ginseng in enhancing tissue repair and microcirculation. It also evaluates the safety and efficacy of medical dressings, especially silver-based ones, in chronic wound management. The research integrates in vitro cell studies with clinical pilot investigations to translate findings into practical treatments for diabetic complications.
