Abstract This study utilized the setting of a technology incubator to analyze how nascent entrepreneurs develop and leverage networks to secure resources as part of the venture creation process. Through rigorous qualitative methods, we examined how six medical device entrepreneurs used networks to obtain needed resources, the types of resources pursued and differences among entrepreneurs based on their level of network skill. Our findings illustrate the importance of the incubator in providing b
Based on signaling theory, this study demonstrates the use of a multilevel framework to examine the effects of two alternative staff localization strategies (embedding and excavating localization) on the turnover intention of host country nationals (HCNs) as well as the mediating roles of perceived career opportunity (PCO) and cynicism. We collected multisource data from 476 HCNs working for 19 foreign firms in China. Data were analyzed using the multilevel structural equation model (MSEM). We f

On the conclusions the related proposals are concerned the core elements of valence, Expectancy and Instrumentality, including protections of rights and interests of SMEs in the cluster, the overall strength of SME
The sales and employment of the service industry in Taiwan have exceeded those of the manufacturing sector. This study conducts the value-added chain model to verify the service-oriented strategies of the manufacturing firms in Taiwan. Specifically, four case studies from different sectors have been conducted, including Acer, Giant, TSMC and Eternal. Based on the research findings, this study concludes that the transformation of service-oriented strategies orientated toward an integration of the
Incorporating with organization learning theory, we introduce a metamorphosis strategy, which refer to EMNEs’ learning trajectory switching from exploitation to exploration. We analyze the moderating effect of the metamorphosis on the association between EMNEs cross-border M&As and their post firm growth. We advocate that the metamorphosis strategy is essential for EMNEs to successfully learn from the cross-border M&As to enhance their competence and performance. Collecting data of 375 Chinese M
