Professor Yong-Jin Kim's research lab focuses on aging and musculoskeletal health, particularly the impact of environmental and biological factors on physical and mental well-being in older adults. 근린의 물리적 환경이 노인의 건강 및 정신 건강에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 노인의 신체적 활동 및 사회적 활동을 장려하며, 나아가 노인의 건강과 정신적 건강을 제고할 수 있는 물리적 환경을 분석하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 방법은 설문조사 및 구조방정식모형을 활용한 통계분석이다. 설문조사는 서울의 종로구, 동작구, 구로구, 광진구, 강서구에 거주하는 60세 이상 노인들을 대상으로 하여 총 500명을 대상으로 일대일 면접조사를 실시하였으며, 설문응답자의 주소를 중심으로 반경 500m의 물리적 환경과 이들의 사회적 활동, 신체건강 및 정신건강의 관계를 구조방정식 모델을 이용하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 근린의 물리적 환경이 노인의 신체적 활동을 장려하는 역할을 할 수 있음을 확인하였으며, 나아가 이러한 신체적 활동이 노인의 건강 상태를 제고할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 우선, 근린의 보행환경이 양호한 곳에서 노인들의 경로당 및 복지관 이용과 같은 표현활동이 장려되었으며, 동창회나 향우회와 같은 지역 기반의 연고집단활동이 장려되었다. 반면, 대중

기후변화에 따른 도시열섬현상 특성 변화와 도시설계적 대안 모색에 관한 기초연구

본 연구는 국내 도시열섬현상이 기후변화에 따라 그 특성이 변화하고 있다는데 주목하여, 해외와는 차별화된 대안을 찾는데 그 목적이 있다. 우선, 국내의 도시열섬현상은 맑은 날에 주로 발생하는 해외 많은 도시들과는 달리, 고온다습한 북태평양기단의 영향으로 일사가 상당량 차단된 흐린 날에도 발생하는 특징을 보였다. 특히, 최근에는 기후변화로 인해 장마철이 점차 짧아지고 집중호우가 더 자주 발생하면서 고온다습한 흐린 날이 늘어나 이러한 현상을 심화시키고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 서울시 31개 지점의 자동기상관측(AWS)자료를 활용하여 맑은 날과 흐린 날의 도시열섬현상의 요인에 대해 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 맑은 날의 도시열섬현상은 고도, 풍속, 녹지면적이 도시열섬현상 발생의 주요한 요인으로 나타났다. 그러나 흐린 날의 도시열섬현상은 건물의 종횡비가 주요한 요인으로 나타나 복사열에 의해 도시열섬현상이 심화되고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 국내 도시열섬현상 저감을 위해서는 주차장 및 건물의
