DC–DC Converter-Aware Power Management for Low-Power Embedded Systems
Yong‐Seok Choi, Naehyuck Chang, Taewhan Kim
SJR Q1IEEE Transactions on Computer-Aided Design of Integrated Circuits and Systems

Most digital systems are equipped with dc-dc converters to supply various levels of voltages from batteries to logic devices. DC-DC converters maintain legal voltage ranges regardless of the load current variation as well as battery voltage drop. Although the efficiency of dc-dc converters is changed by the output voltage level and the load current, most existing power management techniques simply ignore the efficiency variation of dc-dc converters. However, without a careful consideration of th

Low-Voltage Organic Transistors and Depletion-Load Inverters With High-K Pyrochlore BZN Gate Dielectric on Polymer Substrate
Yong‐Seok Choi, I.-D. Kim, Harry L. Tuller, Akintunde I. Akinwande
SJR Q2IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices

Pentacene organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs) have demonstrated the highest performance among TFTs with an organic semiconductor channel. High operating voltages (20-100 V), stemming from poor capacitive coupling between gate electrode and channel, are a major limitation, particularly for portable battery-powered device applications. OTFTs fabricated on flexible polymer substrates, often characterized by rough surfaces, benefit from the use of high-K dielectrics given the ability to accommodat

In light of the anti-inflammatory properties of histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitors, such as suberoylanilide hydroxamic acid (SAHA) and trichostatin A (TSA), we examined a new HDAC inhibitor KBH-A42 for its anti-inflammatory activities. KBH-A42 showed noteworthy anti-inflammatory properties in vitro via suppression of the production of TNF-α, a proinflammatory cytokine, and nitric oxide (NO), a proinflammatory effector molecule, in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells and peritoneal macrophages. It a

SJR Q2Journal of Environmental Science and Health Part A

This study was carried out to evaluate the dye decolorizing and detoxifying abilities of Irpex lacteus. The decolorization abilities of 14 strains of I. lacteus were investigated in agar-plates containing 3 synthetic dyes: Congo Red (CR), Orange II (OII), and Reactive Blue 4 (RB4). In an agar plate test, I. lacteus KUC8958 showed the highest dye decolorizing rate with all 3 dyes. Subsequently, we investigated the decolorizing and detoxifying abilities of I. lacteus KUC8958 on synthetic dyes in l

Abstract Climate change from global warming raises the risk of wood decay. Knowing the inherent durability period of wood is crucial for long-term use. Hence, the natural durability of five important Korean wood species ( Larix kaempferi , Pinus densiflora , Quercus rubra , Quercus variabilis , and Quercus serrata ) was evaluated. In addition, the fungal diversity isolated from each wood stake was investigated to compare and analyze the differences in natural durability. The natural durability o
