About the Lab
Professor Yoon Hyeok's research lab specializes in gastrointestinal oncology and infectious diseases, with a primary focus on Helicobacter pylori-related gastric carcinogenesis, early detection strategies for gastric cancer, and the role of chronic atrophic gastritis and intestinal metaplasia as precancerous conditions. The lab investigates novel therapeutic approaches, including sequential and fluoroquinolone-based triple therapies for H. pylori eradication, and explores the impact of gut microbiota modulation through probiotics in functional gastrointestinal disorders.
