Professor Young Jae Cho's research lab focuses on respiratory and critical care medicine, with a strong emphasis on lung cancer, sleep apnea, and pulmonary diseases such as non-tuberculous mycobacterial disease (NTM-PD). Major bleeding occurred in 12.2% of critically ill cirrhotic patients admitted to the MICU. A low platelet count at MICU admission and sepsis were associated with an increased risk of major bleeding during the MICU stay.
