About the Lab
Professor Yun Jin Cha's research lab specializes in translational and molecular pathology, focusing on the histopathological and radiological characterization of vascular and thyroid disorders, as well as the molecular mechanisms underlying breast cancer progression. The lab investigates radiation-induced vascular lesions, tumor microenvironment features such as lymphangiogenesis and fibrosis, and the metabolic and immune profiles of breast cancer subtypes, including triple-negative and lobular carcinomas. Additionally, the lab explores rare endocrine and inflammatory disorders, such as diffuse follicular variant papillary thyroid carcinoma and Rosai-Dorfman disease with IgG4-related features, integrating clinical imaging with immunohistochemical and molecular analyses.
