Professor Alexandra Wolf's research lab focuses on the intersection of cognitive science, behavioral psychology, and neuroscientific methodologies, with a particular emphasis on visual attention, decision-making processes, and early detection of cognitive decline. The lab investigates how eye-tracking and gaze behavior contribute to understanding preference formation, consumer behavior, and the diagnostic challenges in conditions like mild cognitive impairment and schizophrenia. By integrating advanced technologies with psychological paradigms, the lab aims to develop more accurate, accessible, and early diagnostic tools for neurocognitive disorders.

Fruit and vegetable intakes are low in mothers of 11-year-olds across Europe. Especially vegetable consumption can be regarded as marginal in most of the studied European countries. A high percentage of mothers indicated to eat fruit and vegetables less than once a day. The results have shown that national and international interventions are necessary to promote fruit and especially vegetable consumption in the European population of mothers.
Eye-tracking technology has the potential to contribute to the process of early intervention and more apparent separation of the diagnostic entities, being put together by the syndrome-based approach to the diagnosis of schizophrenia.
