Byung Chul Chun 교수의 연구실은 전염병 역학과 감염병의 전파 메커니즘을 중심으로 한 보건학적 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 특히 수두, 수족구병, 에이즈 등 전염병의 기후적 영향 및 전파 패턴 분석, 초과 전파자(Super-spreading event)의 역학적 특성 연구에 주력하고 있으며, 전반적인 감염병 예방 전략 및 정책 수립을 위한 데이터 기반 분석을 추구합니다. 특히 국내 감염병 감시체계와 정책 효과 평가에 기여하는 실증 연구가 두드러집니다.
