Professor Byung Chul Jee's research lab focuses on reproductive medicine and gynecological endocrinology, with a particular emphasis on improving clinical outcomes in fertility treatment and managing gynecological disorders. The lab investigates biomarkers for ovarian endometriomas, evaluates the efficacy and safety of fertility medications, and examines factors influencing the use and effectiveness of intrauterine devices. Their work contributes to evidence-based clinical decision-making in reproductive health.

Clinicians need to be aware of the risk factors for spontaneous LNG-IUS expulsion because this can lead to a discontinuation of its use.
The combined data presented in this meta-analysis do not support a clinical superiority of Gonal-F over Menopur.
Our findings suggest that serum levels of sCD163 as well as IL-6 are not useful markers for ovarian endometriomas.

Background/Aims: The aim of this meta-analysis was to determine whether frozen embryo transfer (ET) increases ectopic pregnancy (EP) rate compared with fresh ET. Methods: A meta-analysis was performed of data from seven comparative studies including 13,059 pregnancies that resulted from nondonor in vitro fertilization cycles. Results: The EP rate was 2.31% (49/2,125 pregnancies) for frozen ET and 1.48% (162/10,934 pregnancies) for fresh ET
This study was designed to investigate the role of nitric oxide (NO) on the apoptosis of human luteinized granulosa cells and its possible pathways. Granulosa cell suspensions were incubated for 48 h after adding NO donor (S-nitroso-N-acetyl-penicillamine, SNAP) and NO synthase inhibitor (nitro-L-arginine methyl ester, L-NAME) at different concentrations. Apoptosis was examined using a terminal deoxynucleotide-transferase-mediated dUTP-biotin nick end labeling method in 70 patients, and immunocy
The combined data presented in this meta-analysis do not support a benefit for IV albumin around the time of oocyte retrieval in preventing OHSS and even showed a deleterious effect on the pregnancy rate.
The aim of this study was to investigate whether serum levels of anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) and inhibin B at ovulation triggering day correlate with the number of immature oocytes obtained from stimulated in vitro fertilization (IVF) cycles. Fifty-nine consecutive cycles of ovarian hyperstimulation and IVF were selected from 45 women who had tubal (n=18) or unexplained infertility (n=27) and obtained at least one oocyte. Serum levels of AMH and inhibin B at ovulation triggering day were measur
