About the Lab
Professor Chang Hyun Lee's research lab specializes in regenerative medicine and biomaterials engineering, focusing on the development of advanced 3D-printed scaffolds and bioactive cue delivery systems for complex tissue regeneration. The lab investigates the role of growth factors such as CTGF and TGF-β3 in directing stem cell differentiation and tissue repair, particularly in musculoskeletal and periodontal tissues. Innovative platforms, including paper-based SERS substrates and multiphase microscaffolds, are engineered to enable precise spatiotemporal control of biological signals for enhanced therapeutic outcomes.

Ultrasonographic findings suggesting malignancy should be preferentially considered as indicators for FNA, regardless of size, in nonpalpable thyroid nodules. However, extracapsular invasion and lymph node metastasis are closely related to the size of the thyroid nodule.

Micro-CT scores and pathologic scores were found to be well correlated by in vivo and postmortem micro-CT. Although agreements between in vivo and postmortem micro-CT were significant, the confidence levels for fibrosis-related CT findings were significantly higher by postmortem micro-CT.

The overall radiologists' performance of detecting lung nodules was improved significantly with the use of CAD, whereas no statistical significance was observed for the detection of lung cancers.
