Professor Eun-Ji Won's research lab specializes in environmental isotope biogeochemistry, focusing on stable isotope applications to trace nutrient and pollutant dynamics in marine and terrestrial ecosystems. The lab employs compound-specific isotope analysis—particularly nitrogen and carbon isotopes in amino acids and bulk tissues—to reconstruct food web structures, assess trophic magnification of persistent organic pollutants, and evaluate the ecological impacts of pesticides and seafood fraud.
