Professor In Kim's research lab specializes in regenerative medicine and biomedical engineering, focusing on stem cell biology, tissue engineering, and gene therapy for neurological and dermatological disorders. Key research directions include the development of stem cell-derived therapies using transgene-free reprogramming, the application of bioactive factors and conditioned media to enhance tissue regeneration, and the design of injectable biomaterials for surgical adhesion prevention. The lab also investigates molecular mechanisms underlying cancer therapy response and rare disease modeling, with translational applications in hair regeneration, glioma treatment, and neural repair.

Seven cases of fractures of the humerus from arm wrestling included 2 types of fractures. Two were spiral fractures of the humeral shaft with large butterfly fragments at the junction of the middle and distal one third caused by a violent uncoordinated muscular action. Five were fractures of the medial epicondyle of the humerus as a result of a sudden blow to the elbow. In all 7 cases, the fractures healed and arm function returned to normal.
Children with VPS are subject to multiple neuroimaging studies throughout their lifetime. Rapid sequence MRI is an effective alternative to CT while providing no ionizing radiation exposure or risk of developing radiation-induced cancer.
From January 1990 to December 1997, 53 Korean patients with chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) receiving bone marrow transplantation (BMT) from human leucocyte antigen (HLA)‐identical sibling donors conditioned with either busulfan and cyclophosphamide (BU/CY regimen) or total body irradiation and cyclophosphamide (TBI/CY regimen) were compared retrospectively. The nanocluster-Si (nc-Si)/Er3+ interaction distance in Er-doped silicon nitride is investigated using SiOx/Si3N4:Er/Si3N4/Si3N4:Er multilayers.
