Professor Jaemin Jung's research lab specializes in technology adoption, digital media behavior, and cybersecurity, with a strong focus on consumer attitudes toward emerging technologies and digital content. The lab investigates factors influencing e-book reader adoption, news overload and avoidance in digital environments, and employee burnout in media organizations, particularly in the context of South Korea’s advanced digital landscape. Additionally, the lab explores technical solutions in mobile security and next-generation storage systems, including machine learning-based malware detection and hybrid file systems for emerging memory technologies. These interdisciplinary efforts bridge social science insights with computer science innovations to address real-world challenges in digital media and information systems.

This study assesses the degree of burnout among newspaper firm employees in Korea and investigates the causes and consequences of this phenomenon. A survey of reporters and non-reporting staff members from the 10 national daily newspaper firms in South Korea indicates that employees suffer from burnout.
