Professor Jungyul Sohn's research lab specializes in urban and regional economics, with a focus on spatial analysis, transportation network resilience, and the impact of technology and infrastructure on urban development. The lab investigates how geographic location, accessibility, and information technology shape urban spatial structures and economic activity distribution, particularly in metropolitan regions like Chicago and Korea. This paper analyzes the economic impact of an earthquake on transportation network that contains more detail for the Midwest states. This study explores the spatial pattern of urban water use in the southeastern US using Moran's I and Local Moran statistics, and identifies the factors influencing urban water use quantity using a regression model.
