카와다 준이치 교수의 연구실은 바이러스 감염과 관련된 신경질환, 특히 인플루엔자 및 에피스타 바이러스(EBV)에 의한 뇌염·뇌증후군의 면역학적 및 분자생물학적 기전을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 특히 사이토카인 발현, 인플라스모어 활성화, 유전자 발현 프로파일링 등을 통해 감염에 의한 면역 반응의 조절 메커니즘을 규명하고 있으며, 신속한 바이러스 진단을 위한 NGS 기반 기술 개발도 함께 수행하고 있습니다. 이는 치명적인 신경질환의 조기 진단과 맞춤형 치료 전략 수립에 기여하고자 하는 목적이 큽니다.
