Kazuo Tsubota 교수의 연구실은 눈의 표면 및 눈물막 기능 이상을 중심으로 한 건조안병증(Dry Eye Disease, DED)의 기전과 치료에 중점을 두고 있습니다. 특히 비디오 디스플레이 터미널(VDT) 작업자에서 흔히 나타나는 짧은 눈물막 파손 시간을 기반으로 한 건조안의 병태생리학적 이해를 심화하고 있으며, 자가 혈청 치료나 각막 상피 줄기세포 이식과 같은 새로운 치료 전략 개발에도 기여하고 있습니다. 연구는 임상적 문제 해결을 목표로 하여 기초 생물학적 기전과 실제 치료법의 연계를 추구합니다.
