Professor Ki Won Lee's research lab focuses on the health-promoting effects of natural bioactive compounds, particularly phenolic phytochemicals and polyphenols found in common foods such as tea, wine, apples, and cocoa. The lab investigates their antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and chemopreventive properties, with a special emphasis on mechanisms underlying cancer prevention, skin protection against UV damage, and modulation of oxidative stress-related diseases.
