Professor Na Han's research lab focuses on translational and molecular oncology, with a strong emphasis on the pathophysiology of cancer progression, particularly in gastrointestinal malignancies and non-small cell lung cancer. The lab investigates key molecular mechanisms involving proteases and their receptors (e.g., PARs), tumor suppressor genes (such as DACH1), and the tumor microenvironment, including conditions like portal vein thrombosis and sinusoidal obstruction syndrome. Additionally, the lab explores diagnostic imaging biomarkers—such as those from gadoxetic acid-enhanced MRI and DW imaging—to differentiate benign from malignant conditions like chemotherapy-induced focal hepatic lesions. The integration of genomics, transcriptomics, and advanced imaging techniques underpins the lab’s mission to identify novel therapeutic targets and improve clinical outcomes.
