The AI-powered spatial analysis of TIL correlated with tumor response and progression-free survival of ICI in advanced NSCLC. This is potentially a supplementary biomarker to TPS as determined by a pathologist.
To our knowledge, this study is the first randomized phase III study to demonstrate the clinical benefit of anti-PD-L1 antibody in combination with bevacizumab and chemotherapy in patients with EGFR- or ALK-mutated NSCLC who have progressed on relevant targeted therapy.
Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA)-based next-generation sequencing (NGS) testing is becoming essential as the number of actionable genomic biomarker increases for the treatment selection of non-small cell lung cancer. This study demonstrates the additive value of ctDNA-based testing in addition to tissue-based NGS and standard of care-based biomarker testing for detecting additional patients with actionable genomic alterations. Clinical responses have also been observed in patients with a low allele
Durvalumab and tremelimumab with definitive CCRT had promising efficacy in patients with locally advanced ESCC. In addition, PD-L1 expression had strong predictive value in the study population.
Intratumoral heterogeneity has been suggested to be an important resistance mechanism leading to treatment failure. We hypothesized that radiologic images could be an alternative method for identification of tumor heterogeneity. We tested heterogeneity textural parameters on pretreatment FDG-PET/CT in order to assess the predictive value of target therapy. Recurred or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) subjects with an activating EGFR mutation treated with either gefitinib or erlotini
The overall incidence of TMB status was analyzed by the TSO500 assay, and TMB-H was observed in 14.7% of the pan-cancer population. In a real-world setting, TMB-H identified by a target sequencing panel seemed to predict response to anti-PD-(L)1 therapy, especially in patients with a higher proportion of immune cells enriched in the tumor region.
The study demonstrates significant intracranial efficacy and survival benefits of 80 mg once daily osimertinib in NSCLC patients with LMs. The data support considering daily 80 mg of osimertinib as a treatment option for EGFR-mutated NSCLC patients with LMs, irrespective of T790M mutation status.

Pretreatment nutritional status is a prognostic marker in NSCLC patients treated with EGFR TKI. Hence, baseline nutritional status should be more carefully evaluated and adequate nutrition should be supplied to these patients.
To the best of the authors' knowledge, the current study is the first biomarker-driven umbrella study conducted in patients with recurrent SCLC. Although the current study demonstrated the limited clinical efficacy of monotherapy, novel biomarker approaches using other cell cycle inhibitor(s) or combinations warrant further investigation.
In this study, different drug sensitivity was observed according to the type of KRAS mutation. NSCLC subpopulations with different KRAS mutation type should be considered as different subgroups and optimal chemotherapy regimens should be searched in further confirmative studies.
Our retrospective analysis found that second-line pemetrexed singlet therapy provided significantly prolonged PFS compared to second-line platinum-based doublet chemotherapy for NSCLC patients with EGFR mutations who failed first-line EGFR TKI. Conduct of prospective studies for confirmation of our results is warranted.
