Suhan Park

Professor Suhan Park's research lab specializes in internal combustion engine technologies, with a focus on fuel injection systems, spray dynamics, and after-treatment systems for reducing vehicle emissions. The lab investigates the fundamental characteristics of fuel sprays—particularly using alternative fuels like n-heptane and water—under varying injection conditions to optimize combustion efficiency. It also conducts comprehensive analysis of real-driving emissions (RDE) and after-treatment systems in modern diesel vehicles, especially those complying with Euro-6 standards, to evaluate their environmental performance. The lab combines experimental techniques such as phase Doppler anemometry and spray visualization with certification test data to advance clean engine technologies.
