Professor Sun Min Lim's research lab focuses on molecular oncology and targeted therapy in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), with a particular emphasis on identifying and validating novel therapeutic targets and resistance mechanisms in driver-positive lung cancers. The lab investigates the efficacy and safety of next-generation tyrosine kinase inhibitors, such as ceritinib in ROS1-rearranged NSCLC, and explores resistance mechanisms in EGFR-mutant and other advanced lung cancers through comprehensive genomic profiling. Purpose ROS1 rearrangement is a distinct molecular subset of non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). We investigated the efficacy and safety of ceritinib in patients with ROS1-rearranged NSCLC. We found several targetable genetic alterations, and our findings suggest that implementation of precision medicine in HNSCC is feasible. The predictive value of each targetable alteration should be assessed in a future umbrella trial using matched molecular targeted agents.
