Professor Sungho Tae's research lab specializes in sustainable construction and environmental impact assessment within the building lifecycle. The lab focuses on reducing CO2 emissions through innovative materials and technologies, particularly in concrete production and building envelope systems. Key research directions include life-cycle assessment of green buildings using BIM, development of low-carbon concrete, and energy-efficient building retrofitting using advanced glazing technologies such as PDLC and electrochromic windows. The lab also investigates the environmental impacts of construction materials and processes, aiming to support Korea’s green building and carbon reduction initiatives.
