Professor Yoshimasa Masuda's research lab focuses on enterprise architecture (EA) and digital transformation in the context of global healthcare and smart societies. The lab specializes in developing adaptive, integrated EA frameworks—particularly the Adaptive Integrated EA framework and the Adaptive Integrated Digital Architecture Framework (AIDAF)—to support digital transformation in cloud, mobile, and digital IT environments. Research emphasizes risk mitigation, architecture governance, and the integration of digital platforms in healthcare and manufacturing sectors, especially within Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0. The lab’s work bridges strategic IT planning with practical implementation in global enterprises, particularly in pharmaceutical and health technology industries.

This article aims to investigate solutions incorporated by a group called an Architecture Board in the global healthcare enterprises (GHE) for solving issues and mitigating related architecture risks while implementing “Adaptive Integrated EA framework,” which can be applied in companies promoting IT strategy using Cloud/Mobile IT. The distribution of solutions is to mitigate risks from different categories across the architecture domains in enterprise architecture (EA) is revealed, thereby cove
Considering the relation between Enterprise Architecture (EA) and IT is a prerequisite when promoting the uptake of IT by societies. In this paper, the authors propose an “Adaptive Integrated EA framework,” based on the results of a survey, to support the strategy of promoting cloud/mobile IT. They considered a unique advanced case and provide details and the structure/mechanism of building this EA framework in a global pharmaceutical company. Moreover, the authors revealed the effectiveness of
Enterprise architecture (EA) is useful for effectively structuring digital platforms with digital transformation in information societies. Moreover, digital platforms in the healthcare industry accelerate and increase the efficiency of drug discovery and development processes. However, there is the lack of knowledge concerning relationships between EA and digital platforms, in spite of the needs of it. In this paper, we investigated and analyzed the process of drug design and development within
Enterprises and information societies confront crucial challenges currently, while Industry 4.0 becomes important in the global manufacturing industry and Society 5.0 should contribute to a supersmart society, especially for healthcare. Physical activity monitoring digital platforms are architected to improve the healthcare status of patients with diabetes and other lifestyle-related diseases. Furthermore, digital platforms are expected to generate profits for health technology companies and hel

A portal is expected to promote the creation of enterprise communication. In this paper, the communication process of the Architecture Board utilizing a global enterprise portal is analysed. On the basis of the results, a method for promoting the global enterprise portal is evaluated and proposed for the near future.
Enterprise architecture (EA) is useful for promoting digital transformation in global companies and information societies. In this paper, the authors investigated and analyzed the process for digital transformation in global companies, together with related work in using and applying an enterprise architecture framework for the digital era named the adaptive integrated digital architecture framework (AIDAF). Moreover, they position the AIDAF framework for processing digital transformation in glo
This study investigates the solutions incorporated by the Architecture Board in global healthcare enterprise (GHE) to mitigate architecture risks especially in Digital IT areas covering Big Data while implementing the "Adaptive Integrated EA framework," which can be applied in companies promoting IT strategy with Cloud/Mobile IT. The study proposes and verifies the strategic risk mitigation model for digital transformation covering Big Data in Architecture Board, at the same time as this study r
