김영철 교수의 연구실은 재료 과학, 신경망 기반 컴퓨팅, 도시공간 분석 및 환경 지속가능성 분야에서 다학제적 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 고분자 재료의 핵형성 거동과 비정질 고분자에서의 결정화 동역학을 중심으로 재료 설계에 기여하며, 동시에 스토하스틱 컴퓨팅 기반의 뉴럴 네트워크 아키텍처 개발로 초고밀도 통합 회로 기술을 탐색하고 있습니다. 또한 도시 공간의 사용 패턴, 녹색공간 접근성, 사회적 인식을 기반으로 한 도시 정책 지원을 위한 지도 기반 분석 기법을 개발하고 있습니다.

A new architecture and a statistical model for a pulse-mode digital multilayer neural network (DMNN) are presented. Algebraic neural operations are replaced by stochastic processes using pseudo-random pulse sequences.
