Professor Yujong Hwang's research lab focuses on information systems, technology adoption, and knowledge management in digital and organizational contexts. The lab explores user behavior in mandatory technology environments, e-service quality, and the role of informal controls in enterprise system adoption. It also investigates personal information management, technology-mediated learning, and online consumer behavior, with an emphasis on psychological and cultural factors influencing technology use and knowledge sharing.

Enterprise systems are gaining interest from both practitioners and researchers because of their potential linkages to organizational and individual user's productivity. Information systems (IS) researchers have been investigating the implementation and adoption issues of enterprise systems based on the organizational IS management perspectives. However, there are few papers that investigate enterprise systems management and implementation issues based on the informal control mechanisms, althoug
Due to recent technological developments in banking, the use of e-banking is becoming increasingly widespread. This study explored the effect of e-service quality on actual use of e-banking services and explained it through the Technology Acceptance Model. A survey was conducted in Pakistan and 493 questionnaires were collected from e-banking users and the data was analyzed using AMOS 20 and SPSS 20. The results of the study indicate that e-service quality positively affects perceived usefulness
Acceptance and use of a system is known as a major measure of success from an information systems (IS) perspective. However, within organizations where most system use is mandatory, intention-to-use or usage by and large does not provide a full picture of how such use came to be or if it is truly representative of how end-users really feel about using the system. This study summarizes the theories and models on technology acceptance in the mandatory environment in the IS literature and identifie
Technology mediated learning (TML) is gaining interest from both academic researchers and communication professionals as training with Internet technology and Web-based distance learning become increasingly popular. This paper investigates social norms, individual-level cultural orientation (collectivism), and affective commitment (internalization and identification) and studies their influences on the system users' (or learners') attitude toward sharing knowledge by email in the TML environment
