About the Lab
Professor Gwang-Soo Lee's research lab focuses on molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying human diseases, with a strong emphasis on cancer biology, genetic disorders, and neurodegenerative conditions. The lab investigates non-coding RNAs like nc886 in tumorigenesis, particularly in gastric cancer, and explores the molecular basis of connective tissue diseases such as osteogenesis imperfecta through genetic analysis. 15The Ca(++) transport mechanism in the red cell membrane was studied in resealed ghost cells. It was found that the red cell membrane can transport Ca(++) from inside the cell into the medium against great concentration gradient ratios.
