About the Lab
Professor Han Jong Jun's research lab specializes in sustainable and intelligent architectural design, focusing on the integration of Building Information Modeling (BIM) for enhanced design process efficiency and interdisciplinary collaboration. The lab explores the emotional and cognitive responses to architectural spaces through neuroscientific methods such as EEG, aiming to bridge human perception with design quality. Additionally, the lab investigates facade design optimization, energy performance analysis, and the role of landscape and placeness in contemporary urban architecture to foster environmentally responsible and human-centered design solutions.

15오늘날, 건설 산업의 규모는 갈수록 대형화, 복합화 되는 추세로 각 단계별, 분야별로 방대한 양의 정보들이 발생하고 있다. 그러나 기존 설계프로세스는 업무 프로세스가 단계별 결과물도출을 중심으로 이루어져왔고, 프로젝트의 성격이나 팀장에 따라 업무의 흐름이 달라지며 설계변경시 반복적인 작업이 많아 비효율적인 업무가 많은 것이 현실이다. 따라서 정보의 통합 및 관리와 원활한 협업을 중심으로 하는 통합설계프로세스로의 변화가 요구되어 진다. 본 연구의 목적은 기존설계프로세스를 BIM기반 통합설계프로세스와 비교, 분석하여 기존설계프로세스의 문제점을 파악하고 국내 BIM기반 설계프로세스의 사례를 중심으로 그 적용가능성을 파악하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 기존설계프로세스는 결과물 도출의 중심으로 업무가 이루어졌으며, 2차원으로 작업하는 작업환경은 수 많은 오류를 발생시켰다. 또한, 타 분야간의 협업이 원활하게 이루어지지 않았다. 그러나 통합설계프로세스는 3차원 모델

세계적으로 인구증가에 따른 에너지증가와 에너지를 생산해 낼 수 있는자원의 부족으로 인해 각 국가들은 저에너지/친환경 정책을 시행하고 있다. 국내외에는 GBCC, LEED, BREEAM, CASBEE 등과 같은 친환경 건축물인증제도를 실시하고 있어 건축물에 대한 지속가능성 평가가 이루어지고있다. 하지만 효율적인 환경 성능을 판단하기 위해 입력되는 추가 데이터와지속가능 건축을 실현하기 위해 평가되는 항목에 대한 접근 방법은 초기단계에 있다. 사용자가 입력하는 건물 정보를 신속하게 처리하고 판단하여그 정보값들을 원활하게 피드백 할 수 있는 환경 구축이 부족하기 때문이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 평가 항목들에 대한 정보들을 BIM기반의 플랫폼으로 구축된 GBT(Green BIM Template)를 제안하여 사용자의 친환경 건축물 인증제도에 정량적으로 접근하여 획득할 수 있게 가이드하고자 한다.
