About the Lab

Professor Hannah Lee's research lab focuses on cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying intracellular organelle dynamics, particularly endoplasmic reticulum (ER) morphology and function, with a strong emphasis on the roles of reticulon family proteins and their plant homologs in shaping the ER network. The lab also investigates neuroinflammatory pathways in metabolic disorders, exploring the protective effects of adiponectin in hypothalamic inflammation, and examines clinical outcomes in critical care populations, including postoperative delirium and infectious disease responses in immunocompromised patients. These interdisciplinary efforts span cell biology, metabolism, and intensive care medicine, often integrating molecular imaging, animal models, and clinical data.
