Focal Fatty Replacement of the Pancreas: Usefulness of Chemical Shift MRI
Hye Jin Kim, Jae Ho Byun, Seong Ho Park, Yong Moon Shin, Pyo Nyun Kim, Hyun Kwon Ha, Moon-Gyu Lee
SJR Q1American Journal of Roentgenology

The presence of a perceptible focal low-attenuation lesion in the pancreas on CT and the reduction in signal intensity of the lesion on the opposed phase of chemical shift MR images are useful for differentiating focal fatty replacement of the pancreas from true pancreatic neoplasm. Therefore, these imaging findings obviate invasive diagnostic procedures and surgery in the care of patients with focal fatty replacement of the pancreas.

Predictability of preoperative carotid artery-corrected flow time for hypotension after spinal anaesthesia in patients undergoing caesarean section
Hye Jin Kim, Yong Seon Choi, Seung Hyun Kim, Wootaek Lee, Ja‐Young Kwon, Do‐Hyeong Kim
SJR Q1European Journal of AnaesthesiologyOA

BACKGROUND: Spinal anaesthesia-induced hypotension is frequently reported in patients undergoing caesarean section. Mechanistically, sympathetic blockade reduces the systemic vascular resistance and the left ventricular preload, causing hypotension, which is augmented by aortocaval compression. The corrected blood flow time (FTc) is affected by the preload and is inversely related to the afterload. OBJECTIVE: We hypothesised that the preanaesthetic carotid artery FTc could predict hypotension af

SJR Q2Journal of Personalized MedicineOA

BACKGROUND: Wireless capsule endoscopy allows the identification of small intestinal protruded lesions, such as polyps, tumors, or venous structures. However, reading wireless capsule endoscopy images or movies is time-consuming, and minute lesions are easy to miss. Computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) has been applied to improve the efficacy of the reading process of wireless capsule endoscopy images or movies. However, there are no studies that systematically determine the performance of CAD models

SJR Q1PLoS ONEOA

When selecting the nasotracheal tube diameter for nasotracheal intubation, atraumatic introduction of the tube through the nasal passage and a safe location of the tube's cuff and tip should be ensured simultaneously. To maintain safety margin for the tube's cuff and tip from the vocal cords and carina (2 cm and 3 cm, respectively), the maximum allowable proximal-cuff-to-tip distance was calculated as 5 cm less than the measured vocal cords-to-carina distance. The primary aim of this study was t
