Cosmopolitanism and ethical consumption: An extended theory of planned behavior and modeling for fair trade coffee consumers in South Korea
Hye-Mi Lee, Yanhong Jin, Hyun S. Shin
SJR Q1Sustainable Development

Abstract To better understand consumers' fair trade purchasing intentions, this study proposed an extended model of the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) in which a new determinant, cosmopolitanism, was added to reflect consumers' global orientation and perception of fair trade coffee in the context of globalization. In addition, this study employed the construct of “purchase implementation intention” to address the gap between stated intention and actual behavior. To test the study's hypotheses,

Hye-Mi Lee, Hak Jun Song, Choong‐Ki Lee, Yvette Reisinger
SJR Q1Current Issues in Tourism

This study aims to understand the formation of festival visitors’ environmentally friendly attitudes. Results reveal that environmental knowledge and concern influence environmental emotion, which, in turn, affects four environmentally friendly behavioural intentions. Results also show that environmentally friendly tourism behavioural intention is most influenced by environmental emotion. The findings offer a new framework for theory development on environmentally friendly behavioural intention

Translating pro-environmental intention to behavior: The role of moral licensing effect
Eugene Song, M. Jin Lee, Jiyun Park, Hye-Mi Lee
SJR Q1Sustainable Production and ConsumptionOA

Despite an individual's altruistic intentions, these are not always put into practice. The gap between the intentions and behaviors hinders pro-environmental consumption behavior, which has been a highly important subject in the field. Considering that pro-environmental consumption is an altruistic behavior that adjusts and resolves the disparity between personal interests and social values, the role of moral licensing effect should get more attention in translating intention into behavior. Exploring Korean Consumers' Attitudes Toward Ethical Consumption Behavior in the Light of Affect and Cognition
Hye-Mi Lee, Hyejung Cheon
SJR Q2Journal of International Consumer Marketing

Attitudes are known to be one of the influential factors of ethical consumption behavior. However, attitudes have not yet fully proven their utility in predicting ethical consumer behaviors. The attitude-behavior gap in the area of ethical consumption may be related to a lack of understanding in the underlying structure of attitudes, which are composed of two attitudinal properties: affect and cognition. To address these concerns, this study explored 581 Korean respondents' overall attitudes, af

Literature Review of Extended Reality Research in Consumer Experience: Insight From Semantic Network Analysis and Topic Modeling
Hansol Choi, Hye-Mi Lee
SJR Q3ASIA MARKETING JOURNALOA

Extended Reality (XR) technology, the umbrella term covering hyper-realistic technologies, is known to enhance consumer experience and is therefore developing rapidly and being utilized across various industries. Growing studies have examined XR technology and consumer experience; however, the literature has failed to fully explore hyper-realistic technology through a holistic perspective. To fill this gap, we analyzed 720 Korean and international articles through semantic network analysis and t

Expression Technique of the Plurality IR LED Marker using OOK Method for Augmented Reality
Hye-Mi Lee, Nam-Hoon Ryu, Eung-Kon Kim
The Journal of the Korea institute of electronic communication sciences

With technologies available now, there are only a few virtual objects that augmented reality content can create. So, wider application of it is limited. If people want to realize any augmented reality content, out of a vast amount of materials available as well as virtual objects, the number of virtual objects that markers can render should be made to go up along with the content. In a precedent study, IR LEDs markers render marker information following On-Off signals. The number of LEDs should
