About the Lab

Professor Hyoung-Won Park's research lab specializes in high-energy particle physics and gravitational wave astronomy, focusing on the discovery and characterization of exotic hadrons, such as charmoniumlike states, and the population properties of compact binary mergers. The lab conducts precision measurements using data from major experiments like Belle at KEKB and CMS at the LHC, with a strong emphasis on heavy-flavor physics and rare decays. It also contributes significantly to gravitational-wave astrophysics, particularly through the analysis of transient signals from binary black hole, neutron star, and black hole–neutron star mergers in the LIGO-Virgo catalogs. The lab integrates advanced detector techniques with sophisticated data analysis to probe new physics beyond the Standard Model and understand the dynamics of strong and gravitational interactions.

Controlled Airbrush Coating of Polymer Resists in Rollto- Roll Nanoimprinting with Regimented Residual Layer Thickness
구성관, 이성호, 김정대, 홍정구, 박형원, 곽문규, 옥종걸

We study the effective resist dispensing in continuous Roll-to-Roll (R2R) nanoimprinting system by using a simple and controlled airbrush coating method. Compared to common spin-coating or drop-casting, airbrushing can better afford the continuous coating operation required in a R2R nanoimprinting system with controlled thickness and uniformity. We use a UV-curable epoxysilsesquioxane (SSQ) and propylene glycol methyl ether acetate (PGMEA) as a concentration control agent, which are airbrushed f

JOURNAL OF SEMICONDUCTOR TECHNOLOGY AND SCIENCE

In this paper, we propose a novel double gate vertical channel tunneling field effect transistor (DVTFET) with a dielectric sidewall and optimization characteristics. The dielectric sidewall is applied to the gate region to reduced ambipolar voltage (Vamb) and double gate structure is applied to improve on-current (ION) and subthreshold swing (SS). We discussed the fin width (WS), body doping concentration, sidewall width (Wside), drain and gate underlap distance (Xd), source doping distance (XS

Demonstration of the one-step continuous fabrication of flexible polymer ridge waveguides via nanochannel-guided lithography
박종갑, 이규태, 연규범, Jaemin Choi, 김민규, Byeol Han, 박형원, L. Jay Guo, Jong G. Ok

We demonstrate a facile one-step fabrication offlexible ridge waveguides by using the nanochannelguidedlithography (NCL) that enables continuous extrusion of a polymer that forms waveguiding coreridge on an undercladding polymer substrate. NCL utilizes a well-cleaved mold edge with microtrenchpatterns to slide continuously over a UV-curable liquid resin-coated substrate under conformal contact, where the resin and substrate can be chosen for suitable waveguide core and undercladding materials.
