About the Lab
Professor Hyung-Jin Yoon's research lab specializes in translational biomedical research with a focus on clinical epidemiology, kidney and metabolic health, and human-robot interaction. The lab investigates the clinical implications of biomarkers such as mean corpuscular volume (MCV) and acute kidney injury (AKI) in predicting mortality and disease progression, particularly in aging and cancer populations. It also explores the impact of dietary habits on renal function, including renal hyperfiltration, and develops innovative human-centered technologies such as wearable-based physiological monitoring and safety-aware motion planning for flying robots using physiological signals like galvanic skin response (GSR).

Our results, based on the NHID, supports the protective effect of tamoxifen against CVE in Korean breast cancer patients aged 55 and older that is not seen with AIs.
