About the Lab

Professor Hyun-Jae Cho's research lab focuses on the intersection of oral health, systemic diseases, and lifestyle factors, with a strong emphasis on epidemiological and translational studies. The lab investigates the causal relationships between periodontal disease and neurological and cardiovascular conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia, and acute myocardial infarction. It also explores the role of socioeconomic factors, genetic mechanisms in antibiotic resistance, and the integration of multi-omics data in survival analysis using advanced machine learning techniques.
