About the Lab
Professor Jae-Hun Kang's research lab focuses on the epidemiological and clinical investigation of obesity-related health burdens and metabolic diseases, with an emphasis on identifying modifiable risk factors and evaluating novel interventions. The lab explores the socioeconomic impact of overweight and obesity, examines the role of lifestyle factors such as sleep duration in childhood weight gain, and investigates herbal and antiangiogenic compounds for effective body fat reduction. A key direction involves translating findings into public health strategies for preventing chronic diseases like diabetes, hypertension, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease through targeted lifestyle and nutraceutical interventions.
