Professor Jehui Shin's research lab focuses on pediatric infectious diseases, immunology, and rare genetic disorders, with a particular emphasis on understanding the clinical implications of immune deficiencies such as DiGeorge syndrome and primary antibody deficiencies. The lab investigates the safety and outcomes of medical interventions—including live vaccines and monoclonal antibody prophylaxis—amidst immune-compromised pediatric populations, while also studying antimicrobial resistance and clinical features of infections like non-typhoidal Salmonella in children.
