About the Lab
Professor Jennifer Sun's research lab specializes in clinical and health psychology, with a primary focus on understanding the psychological and behavioral factors underlying problematic alcohol use among young adults. The lab investigates cognitive vulnerabilities such as maladaptive schemas, coping styles, and internalizing symptoms like depression and social anxiety in relation to different drinking patterns—particularly binge drinking, solitary drinking, and social drinking. Using a combination of standardized assessments and longitudinal data, the lab aims to identify risk factors and inform targeted prevention and intervention strategies for alcohol use disorders.

1본 연구는 대학생 문제 음주 집단을 혼술 및 사회 음주 집단으로 구분하여 집단 간 초기 부적응 도식, 대처 양식, 우울 및 사회불안 등 문제 음주와 연관된 심리적 요인을 비교하였다. 대학생 330명에게 한국판 알코올 장애 간이 선별검사(AUDIT-K), 도식 질문지 단축형, 문제중심 대처 양식 척도, 음주 동기 척도, 한국판 역학연구센터 우울척도 및 한국판 사회적 상호작용 불안척도를 실시하였고, AUDIT-K 점수와 음주 습관 질문 결과를 바탕으로 혼술 집단 24명, 사회 음주 집단 140명, 병행 음주 집단 30명, 비위험 음주 집단 121명을 선별하였다. 연구 결과, 혼술 집단은 사회 음주 집단에 비해 단절과 거절 및 타인 지향성 도식 영역에서 모두 높은 점수를 보였으며, 대처 양식 중 억제형 대처 및 반동형 대처가 더 높았다. 또한, 혼술 집단은 대처 동기와 평소 경험하는 우울 및 사회불안의 정도도 더 높았다. 본 연구의 결과는 혼술 및 사회 음주 집단이 문제 음주의 취약성 요
