About the Lab

Professor Jeon Tae-yeon's research lab specializes in diagnostic and molecular imaging, with a focus on improving the accuracy of medical imaging in oncology, neurology, and pediatric radiology. The lab investigates advanced MRI techniques such as DCE-MRI and DWI for early cancer treatment monitoring, as well as the diagnostic value of imaging features in sinonasal tumors, brain injuries in preterm infants, and congenital biliary atresia. The lab also explores the role of PET/CT and MRA in optimizing staging and diagnosis in complex conditions like non-small cell lung cancer and interstitial lung disease.

Although the incidence of DEHSI was high (75%) in preterm infants at near-term-equivalent age MR imaging, DEHSI was not predictive of following adverse outcomes. Cystic encephalomalacia and punctate lesions were more significant predictors of cerebral palsy.
