Professor Jeong-Woo Jang's research lab focuses on computer-mediated communication, social media dynamics, and the psychological impacts of online interaction. The lab investigates how digital communication platforms shape interpersonal relationships, information processing, and user behavior—particularly in contexts involving self-disclosure, parasocial interaction, and misinformation. Key research directions include the role of user-generated content, social presence, and audience perceptions in shaping attitudes toward public figures, news credibility, and cross-cultural adaptation among international students. The lab employs experimental and survey-based methods to explore the interplay between individual differences, platform design, and social influence in online environments.
